JOOLS HOLLAND SHOW

1993 - Loudon appeared as a guest on the BBC's 'Later with Jools Holland' music show.

He sang 'The Doctor', (with Jools playing along on the piano) and then chatted to him.

On the subject of doctors, he was asked whether he was obsessed with his various ailments. He joked about just "loving all that stuff", and having to pay 80 pounds a time (for appointments).

He revealed though, that he's got a bad knee (maybe it's the left one and the reason he keeps lifting it).

They went on to talk about the new album, History, and Loud mentioned how he was gonna call it 'Family Album' "but the Partridge Family got there first."

Then it was back to the mike to introduce the second song - 'Hitting You'.

Gerry Anderson show

GERRY ANDERSON SHOW

1993 - A brief appearance on a BBC Northern Ireland TV show when he sang 'The Picture' - the best and original version (before he started talking and then speaking every other line).

(The 'Pictures on the piano' are in the background ;-)).

LOUDON & CO

1994 - Loudon's very own BBC TV series.

Entitled 'Loudon & Co', this was five shows recorded by BBC Scotland over five days with a variety of guests.

The main criticism was there just wasn't enough of the man's music. Each 45 minute show began with Loudon saying "Hi Folks" and then immediately singing a song, Afterwards, that was generally all the music you got from 'Loudo' (although one show had *two* songs).

For the other 40 minutes you only saw him introducing and thanking his 'special guests'. As you can imagine, it was so annoying. In fact I didn't even watch all the shows because of this.

Anyway, dig the fancy clothes the BBC bought for him and also some unusual shots of him wearing his glasses onstage.

The songs were as follows :
 1. 'He Said, She Said'
 2. 'I'm Alright'
 3. 'Talkin' New Bob Dylan'
  'Mr Guilty'
 4. 'Unhappy Anniversary'
 5. 'The Swimming Song'

Loudon, himself, apparently wasn't too impressed with the format of the show. About a year later he put his thoughts down 'on paper' in an article he wrote for 'Mojo' Magazine.
