I was about 4 years young when I first sang along to American Pie. I changed the word chevy to fordy because we had a ford. My Mom used to hum And I Love Her So when I went to bed. And I thought you were the funniest man in the world because you said "cause I la la la la la la love you........." I have so many wonderful memories because of, and associated with your music. I'm 30 years old, and I'm a new Don McLean fan. I bought the American Pie album just for that song, but after I listened to the entire CD, I was completely hooked. Don's music and lyrics speak to me in a very personal way, and I can't wait to buy the rest of his albums. So Don, if you read this, just know that your fans will keep growing in generations to come. Thanks for the fab photos. I really love the site. It's so nostalgic. I don't have the video of Till Tomorrow either but I recorded the programme on casette when it was first shown and know the script by heart and it was great to see some clips. And I really like the unofficial pic of Don backstage on the Don McLean and Friends section. Any chance of including other Don pics taken by fans in the Fan Memories section? I've got a couple and I'm sure loads of people have. If so though a mailing address would be helpful as I haven't got a scanner. Thanks again. Keep up the good work!

What can I say? A truly superb site from a totally committed fan. The Till Tomorrow link answered a question which has puzzled me for years - the song 'I Want Her'. It also seems that the review which appears in the original 'Songs of Don McLean' book is about the making of this video - bomb scare et al! Thanks Martin, this is nostalgia with a capital 'N'.
